It is possible to see coral, various kinds of fish and even sunken ships, which I will show you later. Among the different beaches where you can snorkel, the one I recommend the most is Jemeluk Beach, located just after Amed Beach. If you do not have equipment, you can rent it in a store or in your accommodation in Amed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, do not expect to find beaches as beautiful as the ones in <a href=\"https:\/\/comeamaviaja.com\/en\/things-to-do-in-uluwatu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Uluwatu<\/a>. In Amed, the beaches have black sand and normal water. However, its waters are very calm since there is hardly any current. This means that the snorkeling or diving in Amed is always guaranteed to be enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-visit-tirta-gangga-temple-things-to-do-in-amed-s-surroundings\">3. It is one of the main places to see in Bali. It was built in 1946 by the Karangasem family in a one-hectare enclosure full of ponds, fountains, tropical gardens and stone sculptures. Inside the Tirta Gangga, the most famous corner is a pond that has koi fish and stone columns that you can walk on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being that it&#8217;s a very touristy place, I recommend you go first thing in the morning. In order to visit the temple with much more peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-sunrise-from-bukit-cinta-one-of-the-best-things-to-do-from-amed\">4. From there, you will have spectacular views of Mount Agung if the weather is favorable. The most popular place at the viewpoint is the wooden platform built into a tree&#8217;s trunk. The view is beautiful! I recommend going at sunrise or sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To get to Lahangan Sweet, you simply have to put the name in Google Maps. When you arrive, park your vehicle on the side of the road and enter the dirt road located next to a local restaurant. You will have to walk for about 20 minutes to reach the place. There is a moment when the path splits in two; head to path located on the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-lempuyang-temple\">6. Lempuyang Temple<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/comeamaviaja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/templo-lempuyang.jpg\" alt=\"things to do in Amed\" class=\"wp-image-38130\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comeamaviaja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/templo-lempuyang.jpg 800w, https:\/\/comeamaviaja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/templo-lempuyang-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/comeamaviaja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/templo-lempuyang-768x960.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Lempuyang Temple<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re visiting East Bali, one place you shouldn&#8217;t miss is Lempuyang, one of Bali&#8217;s holiest temples. It is located near Mount Agung, just over half an hour from Amed. Although the complex has a total of seven sanctuaries, this temple stands out for its famous &#8220;Gates of Heaven&#8221; with Mount Agung in the background, which is the highest and most sacred peak in Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recommend visiting Lempuyang Temple as early as possible. It is a place that gets crowded after 8:00 a.m., therefore, going around 7:00 a.m. would be a great idea. If you go later, you will find a huge line of people waiting to take a photo\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-diving-or-snorkeling-in-usat-liberty-shipwreck\">7. This is the USAT Liberty Shipwreck, an American cargo ship that, while en route from Australia to the Philippines, was struck by a Japanese torpedo. This happened in 1942.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For many years, the shipwreck was on the beach of Tulamben. However, in 1963, after the eruption of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mount_Agung\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agung<\/a>, it was dragged to the bottom of the sea. Now it is possible to visit it by diving or snorkeling. In Amed you will find many centers that offer this tour. If you prefer, you can do it for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-explore-amed-s-surroundings-on-your-bike\">8. Going parallel to the coast, throughout the journey you will have views of the sea and you can make stops at different places, such as Lipah Beach or Selang Beach. You will also have the opportunity to observe local life as you pass through each town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-9-blue-earth-village-bali\">9. At first glance, it looks like just a restaurant made of bamboo with beautiful views; however, it is much more than that. It is an educational and community center whose objective is, among many others, to promote Amed as a sustainable tourism destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;ve also wanted to create a space in which to train the mind and body. For this reason, the two main activities that are promoted in this place are yoga and apnea. The place also has rooms to stay in. I recommend getting to know a little bit about Blue Earth Village and going to eat or have a drink at their restaurant. You will be luxurious!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-10-snorkeling-in-japanese-ship-wreck-point\">10. Snorkeling in Japanese Ship Wreck Point<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ll wrap this list of things to do in Amed with the Japanese Ship Wreck Point, another place where you can see a sunken ship at the bottom of the sea. In this case, it is a Japanese patrol boat that ran aground on the Bali coast during World War II. From eating fresh fish in front of the sea to trying one of the best restaurants I&#8217;ve been to in Bali, in Amed you&#8217;re going to enjoy food a lot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are some of the best places to eat in Amed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rimba Cafe. Delicious breakfasts and a very nice place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restaurante Galanga. One of the best restaurant I have been to in Bali. It&#8217;s fusion food. If you are going to go, book a table, as it is usually full.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warung Segara. Local place to eat fish by the sea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La Cocina Mexicana. Yummy mexican restaurant in Amed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cafe People Point. Healthy Food.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Melon Cafe. Very cool place to go for breakfast or lunch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Stuff Cafe &amp; Eco Store Amed. Delicious food and a store with organic products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green Leaf Cafe.
