It\u2019s clear that one of the best things to do in San Sebasti\u00e1n<\/a> is enjoy its incredible food, and not just the pintxos!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, I\u2019m going to take a look at the best cafes in San Sebasti\u00e1n where you can enjoy a great breakfast. Choosing just one might be the hardest part!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Rompe Huevos<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s start with Rompe Huevos, a recently opened cafe right in the heart of San Sebasti\u00e1n. True to its name, eggs are the stars of the breakfast menu. When we sat down, we learned that most of their ingredients are locally sourced, something I really loved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the menu, you\u2019ll find dishes like bacon brioche, trout brioche, eggs benedict, Spanish omelette, and Goxo French toast. When you order an egg dish, you can choose between fried or scrambled. We went for the bacon brioche, which was delicious, and also tried a special off-menu toast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also lighter options like acai bowls and chia yogurt, plus plenty of pastries: croissants, pain au chocolat, carrot cake, and more. As for drinks, they serve specialty coffee, as well as matcha, herbal teas, kombucha, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Somos<\/a>, breakfast and brunch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the Antiguo neighborhood, the best spot for breakfast is Somos, a caf\u00e9 that serves specialty coffee and really tasty dishes. We visited one morning during our stay in the city and really enjoyed it. Plus, it was a sunny autumn morning, and their terrace was the perfect spot to soak it in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the breakfast menu, you\u2019ll find salmon toast, focaccia, Turkish eggs, mushroom toast, and avocado toast. Their bestsellers, however, are the classic eggs benedict (brioche, hollandaise sauce, slow-cooked egg, and ham) and the royal benedict (brioche, hollandaise sauce, slow-cooked egg, and salmon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
