Koza Cave Hotel, Cappadocia
Koza Cave Hotel is one of the many hotels located inside the caves that you can find in Cappadocia. However, it is not just any hotel. Its cozy and family atmosphere is one of its strengths that will make you want to stay for a long time. The rooms are decorated with local products, which gives a very authentic touch. In addition, the hotel reuses water and uses recycled materials, which is why it is considered an eco-friendly hotel.
The main reason we decided to stay at Koza Cave Hotel was because of its beautiful terrace. It’s one of the tallest hotels in all of Göreme, therefore the views from the rooftop terrace are incredible. I also wanted to stay in a cave hotel, to have a more authentic experience. Couldn’t have been a better choice.
The hotel is owned by a family, therefore the atmosphere is very cozy and makes you feel at home.
Rooms in Koza Cave Hotel
The moment I entered the hotel room, I fell in love with it. Stone walls, wood details, a floor full of rugs and the bathroom entrance in a beautiful arch. All very rustic and cozy. The room was spacious and had lots of windows, so there was a lot of light coming in, which I love. It had air conditioning and the wifi worked very well.
One detail that I really liked was that just outside the room there was a very comfortable bench and a small table, a perfect place to have a drink, chat and enjoy the view.

The hotel’s rooftop terrace, a perfect place to watch the sunrise
My favorite spot in the hotel is the rooftop terrace. It is full of rugs, cushions and a few tables. It is highly recommended to get up early and go up to the terrace to see the sunrise with the sky full of balloons.
On our first morning in Cappadocia we decided to get up early to see the sky at sunrise full of balloons. The balloons took off a little later than usual because, it was not known if the weather was favorable or not. The wait was worth it. Seeing the sky full of balloons approaching was quite an experience. Possibly the most beautiful and special sunrise I have seen in my life.
Services and activities
Some of the hotel services are: Wi-Fi, laundry service and free parking. The hotel has several common spaces: a large interior terrace with different areas, a rooftop terrace and a kitchen with a dining room. One detail that I really liked is that they always have bottles of water available in the kitchen and you can help yourself to tea or coffee at any time of the day.
They offer private tours and can help you find a hot-air balloon company to fly with. You can book other activities through them or rent a vehicle. My advice is that when you check in, ask about everything you can see and do in Cappadocia. They will give you lots of advice and will be more than happy to help you.
One of the hotel’s strong points is the breakfast. The food is homemade and the staff gets up early every morning to prepare everything. You can have breakfast both in the interior dining room or in one of the patios or terraces. They serve cereals, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, tea, coffee, various Turkish specialties, etc. Everything was very tasty and prepared with great care.

Do I recommend Koza Cave Hotel?
My answer is a big, yes! As you may already know, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Koza Cave Hotel. I wanted a hotel with a good terrace to have beautiful views and I loved the one in Koza. The fact that the staff was so friendly and created a family-like environment and were always willing to help with anything also influenced why I liked it so much. It is a very good option to stay in Cappadocia and a hotel that I recommend.
