How to get to La Graciosa from Lanzarote

👩🏻‍⚕️ Let me remind you that it's very important to book good international insurance if you are going to a destination where you do not have medical coverage. We always use Heymondo travel insurance. You can get a 5% discount by booking it here.

If you are going to spend several days in Lanzarote, I highly recommend visiting La Graciosa Island. It is the least inhabited and quietest island out of all the Canary Islands. However, it is full of spectacular places. Here you will find out how to get to La Graciosa from Lanzarote.

You just have to take a ferry in Órzola, north of Lanzarote, to Caleta de Sebo, the main town of La Graciosa. You can also book a day trip to La Graciosa Island. Later I will explain both options in detail to help you decide which one suits you the most.

If you are going to visit La Graciosa without a tour, you may be wondering if you should spend at least one night there or if a one-day visit is enough.

My advice is that, if you are visiting Lanzarote for several days, book at least one night in La Graciosa Island. I recommend it for two reasons. The first reason is because you will be able to get to know the island better, since you will have time to visit more places. The second reason is because you will be able to enjoy the island with more peace and tranquility.

Once the ferries from La Graciosa to Lanzarote leave with tourists, you will be there with the locals and a few other tourists who have made the same wise decision.

Ready to find out how to get to La Graciosa from Lanzarote? As I mentioned before you can take the ferry to La Graciosa from Órzola (Lanzarote) or book an organized day trip to La Graciosa.

Another way to visit La Graciosa (Canary Islands) is by hiring an organized tour. It is a good option if you do not feel like organizing the day on the island on your own.

They will pick you up at your hotel in Lanzarote to take you to the port of Órzola. Then you will take the ferry to La Graciosa. Once there, you will take a walk through Caleta de Sebo, capital of La Graciosa. By the way, did you know that La Graciosa only has around 700 inhabitants? Then you will board a catamaran sailboat to tour the south coast of the island. All this after enjoying a welcome mojito.

You will have the opportunity to get off the boat at Playa Francesa, where you will have free time to sunbathe, snorkel, ride a kayak or simply cool off. Then comes the food: paella and fresh fruit! You will also have at your disposal all the beers, sangrias, water and soft drinks that you want.

In the afternoon, you will return to Caleta de Sebo on the catamaran to catch the ferry back to Órzola (Lanzarote). You will then return to your hotel.
