How to get to La Graciosa Island, Canary Island
There are two ways you can visit La Graciosa Island from Lanzarote. You can take the ferry to La Graciosa from Órzola (Lanzarote) or book an organized day trip to La Graciosa.
Ferry to La Graciosa from Lanzarote
If you want to visit the island of La Graciosa on your own, you must take the ferry.
The ferry from Lanzarote to La Graciosa departs from Port of Órzola and arrives at Caleta de Sebo, in La Graciosa. The Port of Órzola is located in the town of the same name, in the extreme north of Lanzarote.
There are two boat companies that offer the ferry route from Lanzarote to La Graciosa Island: Lineas Romero and Biosfera Express.
When you buy a ferry ticket to La Graciosa from either company, they usually sell you the outward journey and the return journey. The return schedule is flexible, which means that you can return from La Graciosa any time you want. Even on another day.
Boat price Lanzarote – La Graciosa Island: One-way ticket costs €14. The roundtrip ticket costs €26.
It is recommended to be there at least 10 minutes before departure. The journey lasts about 25 minutes. The boats are very nice. They are very spacious and have tables and chairs. You can sit inside or outside. The views of the Famara cliffs are incredible. You can check it in the photo below:
There are different ways to visit La Graciosa. You can do it on foot, renting a bike or renting a 4×4 vehicle with a driver. If you are not going to spend the night on the island, I recommend visiting it with a 4×4 to give you time to see more places. If you are going to spend at least 2 days on the island, you can easily explore it by bike. The distances between places are not very long.
Here are some of the best places to visit in La Graciosa Island: Francesa Beach, Kitchen Beach, Yellow Mountain, Caleta del Sebo, Las Conchas Beach, Bermeja Mountain.
If you decide to spend at least one night on the island, I recommend looking for hotels in La Graciosa well in advance. We stayed at the Enriqueta pension.

Day trip to La Graciosa Island (Canary Islands)
Another way to visit La Graciosa (Canary Islands) is by hiring an organized tour. It is a good option if you do not feel like organizing the day on the island on your own.
If you are interested in booking a tour, I recommend taking a look at this organized trip to La Graciosa Island. It is also with Civitatis, a company that I have used and recommend. Then I will tell you what this trip to La Graciosa is about.
They will pick you up at your hotel in Lanzarote to take you to the port of Órzola. Then you will take the ferry to La Graciosa. Once there, you will take a walk through Caleta de Sebo, capital of La Graciosa. By the way, did you know that La Graciosa only has around 700 inhabitants? Then you will board a catamaran sailboat to tour the south coast of the island. All this after enjoying a welcome mojito and welcome Spanish omelette.
You will have the opportunity to get off the boat at Playa Francesa, where you will have free time to sunbathe, snorkel, ride a kayak or simply cool off. Then comes the food: paella and fresh fruit! You will also have at your disposal all the beers, sangrias, water and soft drinks that you want. In the afternoon, you will return to Caleta de Sebo on the catamaran to catch the ferry back to Órzola (Lanzarote). You will then return to your hotel.
The organized trip costs €59 and lasts 6 hours. Children from 3 to 11 years old only pay €35. For children under 3 years old it is free.
This trip to La Graciosa Island is very good considering that it includes the following:
– Pick up and drop off at your hotel (if it is located in Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero, Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise or Órzola).
– Guide in English.
– Round trip ferry Lanzarote – La Graciosa.
– Catamaran sailboat ride.
– Mojito and welcome snack.
– Open bar on the sailboat.
– Snorkeling and kayak equipment.
