I got to know the city of Luxembourg on a day trip. I went in December, therefore I was able to enjoy the Christmas markets. The country’s capital, also called Luxembourg, is the most popular destination in Luxembourg. However, there are options for those who prefer to visit towns, castles or nature.

Other than Luxembourg, the country has many other interesting places to visit. Some of the best places to visit are Echternach, Vianden Castle, Diekirch, Beaufort Castle, Larochetteel and Bourglinster Castle.
If you prefer nature, you can visit the Ardennes region, the region of Mullerthal, the Natural Park of Our or the Natural Park of the Upper Sûre.
LUXEMBOURG
There are around 125,000 inhabitants in the city of Luxembourg. Yes, It’s a small city. Still, Luxembourg offers a variety of plans. If you visit the city, I recommend strolling through the historic center while you discover its most beautiful and charming corners.
Some of the best places to visit in Luxembourg are the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Luxembourg, Casemates du Bock, Grand Ducal Palace, Passerelle, Adolf Bridge and Place Guillermo II. If you want to know more about the city’s history, you should visit the Luxembourg City History Museum or the National Museum of History and Art.
