The best areas to stay in Zurich are the historic center and the Langstrasse neighborhood.
If it’s your first time in the city and you don’t have much time in it, I would opt for the historic center of Zurich, since your hotel will be closer to all the essential things to see in Zurich.
Apart from many of Zurich’s attractions, in the historic center you will find numerous bars, restaurants and shops.
On the other hand, there’s the Langstrasse neighborhood, where I stayed during my last trip to Zurich. This neighborhood is located west of the historic center. On foot, it won’t take long to reach all the attractions of the city.
In addition, in this neighborhood it can be easier to find affordable hotels. Langstrasse also has a very youthful and lively atmosphere. There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops.
🛏️ On my last trip to the city (for work), I stayed at the 25hours Hotel Langstrasse, which is within a 10-minute walk from the historic center. It is a 4-star hotel. I highly recommend it – I really liked it!
