Annecy is a charming town in the French Alps. It has a beautiful old town as well as incredible nature in its surroundings. Annecy Lake is located next to the town. It is a huge blue lake surrounded by mountains. Some of the places that you must visit are the Annecy Castle, Le Palais de I’Île and the Pont des Amores.

BIARRITZ

Biarritz is one of my favorite places in France. This coastal town located in the French Basque Country has everything you need for a dreamy getaway. Beautiful beaches with waves, a charming boardwalk, a historic center with a young and elegant atmosphere, an incredible cuisine, charming shops, it has it all.

Some of the places that you must visit in Biarritz are Les Halles market, Rocher de la Vierge, Biarritz Lighthouse, Plage du Port Vieux, Grande Plage, Plage de la Côte des Basques and Rocher du Basta. I also recommend having lunch or dinner at the pier.

Colmar is known as one of the most beautiful towns in France. After visiting this beautiful town, I can say that its reputation is well deserved. This little town full of cobbled streets and colorful houses is a true beauty. If you visit Colmar, I recommend walking through its streets while you discover all its treasures.

STRASBOURG

Strasbourg is the capital of Alsace and a city that you must visit if you are visiting this region. Its historic center, known as “Petite France” (little France), is a real treasure. In fact, it was named a World Heritage Site in 1988. The Strasbourg Cathedral is one of the tallest cathedrals in France and one of the best places to visit in Strasbourg. The cathedral is of late Gothic style.

Some of the best places to visit in Strasbourg are the Kammerzell House, Rohan Palace, Ponts Couverts, Vauban Dam, Kléber Square, Palais de l’Europe, Parc de l’Orangerie and Alsatian Museum. This city is a perfect starting point to discover other places in Alsace, such as Colmar. It is also a very good destination for a Christmas getaway.

LILLE

Lille is a French town that isn’t as known as other cities in the country. However, it is a charming city. Its historic center is not very large, therefore, it is an ideal destination if you don’t plan to travel very long. If you are visiting the area, I recommend walking through the main streets of Lille. I know this city very well because I studied there for a year. I am going to share some of my favorite places.

Some of the best places to visit in Lille are the Grand Place, Vieille Bourse and Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille. I recommend wandering the Citadelle de Lille and walking through every possible street in Vieux-Lille. Be sure to have a drink at the famous Méert patisserie.

LYON

Articles coming soon!

Lyon is one of the most spectacular cities in France. It has a long history and incredible cuisine. Two rivers run through the middle of the city, the Rhone and the Saone rivers. The best place to visit in this French town is Vieux Lyon, the historic center of the city. I recommend walking through its streets in search of magical corners.

Other great places to visit in Lyon are the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourvière, Place des Terreaux, Lyon Cathedral, Bellecour Square, Grande Côte Garden, Lyon Opera, Tête d’Park Or and the Gallo-Roman Theater. I also recommend taking a cruise on the Saône river.

PARIS

What can I say about Paris that hasn’t already been said? For me it is one of the cities in the world that you have to visit at least once in your life. Its incredible history, its artistic richness, its elegance and its beauty are indisputable. Whether it’s your first time in Paris or you’ve visited before, a trip to the French capital never disappoints. They say that Paris is always a good idea and I couldn’t agree more.

If you travel to Paris, you must visit the following places: the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc of Triumph, Sacré-Coeur Basilica, Champs-Elysées, Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde and Les Invalides. If you want to go on a fun day trip, I recommend visiting Disneyland Paris or Versailles Palace.
