This is one of the finest places to explore in April, offers a wide variety of landscapes and temperatures because of its expansiveness and ideal location.
It is possible to travel throughout this South American nation from north to south at any time of year, but for those who prefer to visit the northwest provinces of Salta, Tucuman, and Jujuy, the autumn temperature in April is more tolerable than the heat of January and February.
Buenos Aires, the nation’s capital and one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is a stop you must make on your journey. Its culture and lively nightlife will surprise you. In fact, many travelers dream of a road trip through its iconic roads, such as the Pacific Coast Highway. It is one of the best driving routes in the United States and has stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Santa Barbara.
One of the places that you cannot miss on the West Coast of the United States is the Grand Canyon of Colorado, an impressive geographical feature that you can see both from a helicopter flight and from a route on foot. So far, it is the place that has impressed me the most on my 10-day road trip along the West Coast.
One of the country’s liveliest cities, Las Vegas, is not far away. Every day, people from all over the world come here to play games and have fun. You might need to pass through the breathtaking Valley of Death to get there.
San Francisco is yet another city worth visiting, as I have already indicated. Its personality and contrasts may be seen in its beautiful streets. Los Angeles, the hub of the film and television industries, should also not be missed. Like a local, enjoy its avenues and beaches!
3. Tunisia, a surprising destination

On this list of the top places to visit in April, Tunisia is likely the least popular nation. But contrary to what you might imagine, it has a lot to offer. I was fortunate to visit Tunisia a few years ago and I strongly advise you to do so as well.
Cities and villages in this North African nation are quite attractive. You won’t be able to stop marveling at its enchanting medinas while you’re there. The vast architectural legacy from various eras and cultures, including Arabic and Roman, will also astound you.
Furthermore, given that it is situated along the Mediterranean coast, its beaches are comparable to those seen elsewhere in the area. Sousa, Hammamet, and the island of Djerba stand out for being particularly stunning. Don’t forget that the Sahara Desert cuts through this nation; you can visit its dunes, its most significant oasis and spend an incredible night in the desert there.
Last but not least, if you’re a fan of the George Lucas saga, you should be aware that several of the Star Wars films were shot in Tunisia and that you can still visit parts of the set left behind.

4. Japan, an amazing place to visit in April

There probably isn’t a better time of year to travel to Japan than April. The cherry trees are in full bloom in Spring! Imagine seeing that lovely manifestation of nature all around the nation. The Japanese celebrate Hanami throughout this month by getting together with loved ones to enjoy food and fun under cherry trees. You can observe this in every park and public space you visit.
In April, Japan will also host additional events. The five geisha districts of Kyoto all hold their spring dances during this month. A show you cannot miss! Japan is a place you must visit at least once in your life, and not just for the flowers and dances.
Regardless of where you have previously traveled, the culture of this nation will impress you. The reason why is because no other nation on earth can be compared to Japan. If you choose this location, you will experience traditions, cuisine, and customs unlike any other.
Moreover, April is a great month to visit all of the other attractions in this nation due to the pleasant, temperate weather. You shouldn’t skip places like Tokyo, Nara, the island of Miyajima, Mount Fuji, or Himeji Castle in addition to the aforementioned Kyoto.

Turkey is a wonderful option if you want to travel to a country with a distinctive culture and natural beauty. Any time of the year, you can be amazed by this country’s charms. However, traveling to Turkey in April is a great idea because the weather warms up and allows you to visit even more of the country’s top sights, like Istanbul and Cappadocia.
Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Galata Tower, and Suleiman Mosque are a few places you absolutely need to visit. They will enable you to learn about the nation’s religious and cultural norms in addition to its stunning architectural splendor.

Aside from that, a temperate environment is perfect to fully appreciate each place you must visit in Athens. The Acropolis, Parthenon, Dionysus Theater, and Herodian Odeon make up the historical circuit, which is unavoidable. The amount of information available on ancient Greece is astonishing.
After that, you can stroll around the streets of Plaka, one of the city’s main neighborhoods and home to a variety of charming shops, eateries, and places. Don’t miss out on visiting some of Cadiz’s white villages, such as Vejer de la Frontera or Grazalema. If you love the coast, a few days in Tarifa will be refreshing. Here, you’ll find one of Spain’s most famous beaches, Bolonia Beach.
Other noteworthy beaches include Zahara Beach, Palmar Beach, and Borrosa Beach, each more breathtaking than the last!

If you’re thinking of traveling to Asia in April, there are many countries where it’s the right time to go, such as Thailand, South Korea, Japan, or Vietnam. However, I recommend visiting Laos.
This Southeast Asian country might not get as much attention as some of its neighbors, but it has a lot to offer. Laos combines stunning natural landscapes, beautiful temples, and a rich cultural heritage in a way that’s hard to beat.
Top spots to check out include Luang Prabang, the 4000 Islands of Laos, Nong Khiaw, Vang Vieng, Vientiane, and Kong Lor Cave. Do some research, as Laos is packed with intriguing destinations waiting to be explored.
13. Sicily

We’ll finish this list of top destinations to visit in April with Sicily, Italy. This is a fantastic option for those who enjoy road trips through charming cities and towns while soaking in history, nature, and, of course, the local cuisine.
