Some of the best destinations to visit in June are Mallorca, the Algarve, Greece, or Ecuador. Below, I give you all the details you need to know to decide where to travel in June.
1. Algarve (Portugal), one of the best places to visit in June
Have you considered the south of Portugal to take a break in June? The Algarve has become one of the regions that receives the most tourists in all of Portugal. There are countless reasons why!
Among many other attractions, it stands out for its 200 km of coastline, which is home to about 100 beautiful beaches and coves. Some of the beaches that you cannot miss on your trip are Praia da Marinha, Praia da Falesia, Praia do Carvalho, Praia da Rocha, Praia de Dona Ana and Ilha de Tavira.
The Algarve is much more than sand and sea. It has many charming historic villages, such as Faro or Sagres, a beautiful countryside, and a good number of mountains and caves. One of the caves that stands out is the Cave of Benagil.
In summer, this region of Portugal, like other beach resorts in Europe, is very crowded. Therefore, if you feel like visiting the Algarve, I think June is a great time to do so. The weather is pleasant, and you will find fewer people than in July or August.

2. Mallorca, Spanish paradise
Spain offers a wide variety of incredible places to visit in June. However, Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, can be a perfect destination for that time of the year.
Can you imagine exploring dozens of beaches and coves with turquoise waters in the Mediterranean? In Mallorca, you can choose from a good variety, as there are a total of 262. All of them are beautiful!
In addition to enjoying the sun, June is a great month to visit Mallorca because the weather is ideal for a variety of outdoor sports. It is not yet extremely hot, as opposed to months like July and August. Additionally, compared to the following two months, June is substantially less busy in terms of tourism.
Apart from going to the beach, you can visit beautiful Mallorcan villages lost in the mountains or along the coast. Also, don’t miss the capital, where I recommend you do this tour of Palma de Mallorca in one day. At night, you will find a lots of life in nightclubs and restaurants.
Also, if you are on the island on June 23, you can enjoy the popular celebration of the Night of San Juan. To honor St. John the Baptist and celebrate the beginning of summer, people gather on the beaches to light bonfires, eat, and have a good time. Not to be missed!

3. Malta, a great place to visit in June 2024
This archipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea hides a lot of treasures that you will appreciate if you are a history lover. Although what is most attractive about the island is its nature, it is also an ideal destination to travel to in June.
Malta, formerly known as “the land of honey” due to the number of endemic bee species, has a lot to offer despite its small size.
Do not miss its capital, Valletta, where you will love to walk around the walled city and enjoy the beautiful views of the sea. Do not miss the Cathedral of St. John, full of works by Caravaggio, and the Grand Master’s Palace, with its collection of armor and weapons.
Other places to visit in Malta in June are Sliema and St. Julian’s, its two main touristic towns. You will also have a great time visiting the Mediterranean beaches, where you can go scuba diving, snorkeling, or take a boat trip.
4. Greece
Greece is a good destination any time of the year. However, if you can visit in June, you will avoid the scorching summer temperatures and the large crowds of tourists, and you will enjoy it much more!
This country is located in southeastern Europe and is made up of thousands of islands. As you know, it was very influential in the past, when it experienced its greatest peak.
Today, it still preserves a great historical heritage, with monuments that are a must for any tourist. These can be found especially in Athens, its capital, where a visit to the Acropolis and the Parthenon is a must.
However, Greece has more to offer than just history. It has a rich culture and natural beauty. You will see this by visiting some of its most important islands, such as Crete, Mykonos, and Santorini.
Additionally, Greece boasts outstanding cuisine, which will make your visit much more enjoyable. What more could you ask for? If all of this wasn’t enough, it offers paradisiacal beaches.
5. Pakistan, a unique place to visit in June 2024
If your plan to travel in June is to go to a unique destination that is very different from any place you’ve been, Pakistan is an amazing choice. It is not a place that is usually considered for a vacation, but it is extremely beautiful and has much to offer tourists, especially those who like nature and adventure.
This Asian country is very chaotic and wild but has, at the same time, an extremely hospitable population and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Pakistan is very large, so it would take a lot of time to visit the entire country. Therefore, if you only have a few days, you should focus on the most relevant sites.
One of them is Lahore, the cultural capital of the country and one of the liveliest places to visit. There you will find the Badshahi Mosque, one of the most beautiful and largest in the world. You should also visit Islamabad, the capital of the country, where you can observe the luxurious lifestyle of the Pakistani aristocratic class.
Then, do not hesitate to travel further north to discover natural landscapes that will drive you crazy in the Hunza Valley. By the way, did you know that Pakistan is home to K2, the second-highest mountain in the world?
6. Brittany and Normandy, two beautiful regions of France
Brittany and Normandy are locations that people like to travel to in June. No matter how you look at it, France is a stunning country, and the northwest is no exception. Both Brittany and Normandy are distinguished by their combination of a wide variety of stunning landscapes and charming small towns.
Traveling to Brittany is like travelling back in time to medieval times. You will be amazed by its imposing castles and the numerous ramparts that surround the villages. The place looks like something out of a fairy tale.
Normandy is distinguishable by its coasts marked by cliffs. On your way there, you cannot miss a dream place: the island of Mont Saint Michel, which houses a Gothic cathedral at the top.
You can’t miss the opportunity to visit the beaches where the Normandy landings took place during the World War II.
7. Ecuador, a destination that will surprise you
This country on the west coast of South America is another great option to consider when choosing a place to visit in June. If you have never thought about traveling to Ecuador, just know that it is a destination that, despite having a myriad of attractions, has not yet become extremely popular for tourism.
That is why you can enjoy the country with peace of mind without large crowds. What can you do here? Visit Quito, its capital, to get to know its people and much of the history of this country. You can also enjoy some of its beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast or swim with lots of marine species in the Galapagos Islands.
While visiting the country, you absolutely must stop by Ecuador’s mountain range. In June, this area has fantastic weather. The inter-Andean region is formed by the union of the western and eastern Andes Mountains.
Ecuador is made up of 10 provinces and is characterized by its snow-capped peaks and volcanoes. You can also visit numerous national parks to get to know its exuberant flora and fauna. Do not miss destinations such as Otavalo, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Baños de Agua Santa, or Quilotoa Lagoon.
8. Canada
If you are not up for the harsh winters of Canada, what better than to visit this beautiful North American country when summer is just beginning? It’s a very large country full of natural landscapes that will leave you speechless.
If you like to visit cities, your itinerary should include Toronto, with its numerous bars and restaurants and its iconic CN Tower; Vancouver, a coastal city that is home to a myriad of parks; and Montreal, with the three-peaked hill located in its center.
To take advantage of the pleasant temperatures, hike around some of its many lakes. Don’t miss the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Finally, Canada shares one of the most beautiful natural places in the world with the United States: Niagara Falls. You should definitely include it in your plans!

Much is said about London’s weather and the fog that covers it. The truth is that it is one of the most attractive cities in the world, and the weather cannot be an excuse not to visit it. Besides, in June, the temperatures are more pleasant, and, with a little luck, you can ever get a bit of sun.
The capital of England has everything to satisfy people with different tastes and personalities. Therefore, I assure you that your stay there will be unforgettable. If you are passionate about history, you will love visiting places like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Not to mention all the incredible museums that the city houses.
Are you a fan of theatrical shows or musicals? Here you will find a billboard that features some of the most important shows in the world. If you also enjoy art, you can spend hours contemplating the works of the greatest artists of all time in its numerous galleries.
London, with the Thames River running across it, offers you all kinds of activities and experiences. One of them is to visit emblematic neighborhoods such as Camden Town or Notting Hill.
10. Bali, Indonesia
Bali, the most popular island in Indonesia, is one of the best places to visit in June. This month of the year is one of the best times to travel to Bali since it is in the dry season and, in addition, it is not as busy as April, July, or August. This way, you will be able to enjoy a pleasant time in less crowded places.

11. Northern Spain, where to go in June 2024
The north of Spain is a real treasure any time of the year, although once there’s a bit of warm weather, you can enjoy the natural charms of this part of the country much more, such as its beaches and mountains. For this reason, it is one of my proposals for the month of June in Spain.
If you have enough time, I suggest a tour along the northern coast, crossing Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, and the Basque Country. This route will take you through charming villages, very attractive cities, fantastic beaches, and magnificent cliffs, among many other surprises.
If you cannot spend many days, you can focus on fewer regions or choose to visit a single community. All of them are splendid. One way or another, the north of Spain is always enjoyable, whether you decide to cover a smaller or larger area.
12. Amalfi Coast (Italy)
The last place to travel to in June that I propose is also in Europe, but this time you have to cross part of the Mediterranean. I am talking about the Amalfi Coast, in the south of Italy. This is located in the region of Campania, and among its kilometers of coastline, you will find charming villages and beautiful landscapes.
One of the most famous towns is Positano, which, of course, cannot be missed on your itinerary along the Amalfi Coast. However, there is much more to see. Do not miss the towns of Sorrento, Amalfi, or Atrani. You will also like to visit the Fiordo di Furore and the Grotta dello Smeraldo.
